Finding My Father is a 2021 documentary directed by Maziar Ghaderi. The project follows an artist, inspired by his father’s childhood memories in Iran, as he creates his most ambitious installation yet in hopes of forging a closer connection with his father—only for the work’s reception to push both of them into more complicated emotional territory. The film later broadcast on Knowledge Network, was acquired by National Film Board and was nominated for Best Documentary in Arts/Culture at the Yorkton Film Festival in 2023.
