Description

Soul Compass is a short film directed by Maziar Ghaderi and inspired by Rumi’s 13th-century poem “In Cairo, Dreaming of Baghdad; in Baghdad, Dreaming of Cairo.” The film follows a poor wanderer whose search for treasure transforms into a quest for self-discovery, reinterpreting a classic moral tale through Persian cultural context and a visual language built from LiDAR scanning and experimental 3D animation.

The image displays a large, illuminated advertising billboard at a street level, likely positioned to capture the attention of pedestrians and passing vehicles.
